How to make Maiwein (May Wine) 

 You need:
 - Sweet Woodruff (Waldmeister – it grows in Nana’s garden)
 - Inexpensive white wine (I use Savingnon Blanc) 

 1. Gather and wash the Sweet Woodruff
 2. Tie it into bunches and trim
 3. Take a sip of wine (gotta make room for those herbs!)
 4. Put the herb bunches into the wine bottle and submerge
 5. Chill for a few hours or even a week
 6. Enjoy! Some people add sliced strawberries when serving, but they’re completely optional.
