I had some downtime the other day — well, um, procrastinating time — and since I was all alone with the Internet, I decided to watch a chick flick on Netflix Instant that most of my friends would have rejected: You Again. Sure, it had a rating lower than 6 stars on IMDb, and only 3ish stars on Netflix, but it also starred Jamie Lee Curtis, Sigourney Weaver, and Bea Arthur, who are awesome, and well as Kristen Bell, who I’m not as familiar with, but who I admire for being funny and cute.
The storyline was also pretty grabby. Kristen Bell’s character (let’s just call her Kristen), a successful PR exec in her late 20s, is traveling home for her supportive, trustworthy-eyebrowed older brother’s wedding. On the way home, Kristen discovers that the girl her brother is marrying is none other than her high school ARCH NEMESIS, the popular girl (let’s call her Lex Luthor) who personally terrorized Kristen daily, making her teenage life a living hell.
** SPOILER ALERT ** I am going to spoil this mediocre chick movie now.
