Sometimes I get really, really excited about gadgets. They’re an interest I inherited along the female line. My mom’s mother loved gadgets. She had the most amazing things: a metal detector, a grownup-sized tricycle, and every computer game ever made on 5.25 inch floppy disk.
I love gadgets too. I used to have a blog called 5 gadgets, but I stopped updating it in 2007. There was a post on the front page about the awesome new Motorola RAZR phone.
I wanted to stop obsessing about gadgets because they’re an expensive and consumerist hobby. But I sometimes still research gadgets endlessly, or turn up in electronics stores at odd hours. The battery hasn’t died.
I recently wiped out the old site and started it again. I might not post more often than once every few weeks, but here is my new old gadgets blog.
Caution: It’s nerdy.
